CISL works in conjunction with the Community Biodiversity Action Network (CBAN) to support rural communities in the management and sustainable use of agro-biodiversity and related environmental resources. CBAN has implemented projects on raising environmental awareness on forest conservation and management funded by FAO through the Forestry division of the Ministry Agriculture and Food Security, the project was implemented in three District, Kono, Kenema and Kailahun District in the western region of Sierra Leone.
